GI-MAP

Jessica has yet to find a person for whom GI-MAP results did not provide a transformative opportunity in their health journey.

The information gleaned from the GI-MAP results allows us to target specific processes and restore balance and function in the digestive tract. We get insight into stomach, liver and pancreatic function, as well as gut barrier function (which has implications for blood brain barrier, too). We find out if your immune system has the resilience to fight off future invaders, or if it is exhausted and needs some deep healing work.

The GI-MAP is the tool that lets us choose our targets accurately and build a healthy gut environment, usually within six months.

Every membership includes two GI-MAP tests: initial testing guides early treatments, and subsequent testing confirms successful resolution and identifies further opportunities for interventions.

The GI-MAP examines microbial DNA in your stool and gives us an incredibly accurate assessment of dozens of microbes in your intestines, including the commensal (good) microbes, pathogenic bacteria, yeast, and parasites. We use this information to guide the work of restoring a healthy gut microbiome.

The GI-MAP also gives us information about how robustly your pancreas is producing digestive enzymes, how well you are digesting the fat in your diet, how strong your immune system is at the level of the gut, if you’re having an immune response (inflammation) from the presence of gluten or a cross-reactor in your diet, whether or not the large intestine is inflamed, and whether or not there's any hidden blood in your stool.

In total, the GI-MAP results allow Jessica to make an individualized plan to restore competent digestion and absorption, rebalance the microbiome, and restore immune balance, such that lasting gut health will support your overall health in the decades to come!

This is the one Functional Lab test we have found invaluable for helping every person with complex immune dysregulation regain their health.

It’s an easy-to-collect, single sample stool test with no preparation required.
